A collaboration between Sheffield narrative artist, Sarah Sharpe and Sheffield upholsterer, Heather Jones, from The Unique Seat Company, has resulted in the creation of some truly stunning and unique, luxurious, limited edition, scatter cushions.
Heather Jones who describes herself as a “traditional upholsterer and art addict” approached Sarah Sharpe to see if she would be interested in digitally printing some of her art work onto fabric for use in an exclusive upholstery project.
Heather told us “I have been hoping to combine my love of art with my love of upholstery for quite a while now and when Sarah agreed to let me use her images I was absolutely thrilled as I have admired Sarah’s work for many years.”
The Unique Seat Company have just finished upholstering an antique dressing screen using two of Sarah’s images with spectacular results. The screen is a completely exclusive, one-off, individual piece of furniture.
The Unique Seat Company are now working on re-upholstering an antique chair with another of Sarah’s images which they hope to have completed within the next few months. Keep checking the website www.theuniqueseatcompany.co.uk for more information.
The Sun & Moon and the “Girl in the Moon” luxurious velvet cushions are limited editions run of 250 per design and are made and sold exclusively by The Unique Seat Company. See the Limited Edition Art Cushions page for full details.
