This stunning early 20th Century, Chinese altar table has raised moulded ends to the rectangular panelled top, moulded legs with shaped surmounts to the frieze and lateral stretcher rails.
A copy of a design from the Ming dynasty of the sixteenth and seventeenth century. The wood is an indigenous hardwood and possibly huanghuali.
Condition Report: Superb overall condition. No breaks, damage or woodworm. Minor knocks and scratches consistent with age and use.
