These stunning early 20th Century, Chinese armchairs have horseshoe shaped backs with carved medallions to the rectangular splats, panelled seats above a scroll apron, and legs joined by peripheral stretchers.
A copy of a design from the Ming dynasty of the sixteenth and seventeenth century. The wood is an indigenous hardwood and possibly huanghuali.
